Get Togethers and Birthday Woes

Thanksgiving, a time for family you don’t see often come together in one house (specifically mines). Who’s decision was it to have everyone at my house? I’ll never know but in ready for the loudness and hugs from every family member. My day so far started in my bed as usual watching the Thanksgiving Day’s parade and my mom bringing in some Eggnog, an Xmas holiday cheer a little bit early… But that’s my mother for you, haha.

Today is also my dad’s birthday so what a great day it is for him. Though he turned 42, he wants everyone to say that he turned 37 (He does that every year)… Anyways hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember to spend this day wisely and take lots of pictures!!!

Making a Huge Return

Disclaimer: This is my huge return and college has just been to stressful especially as a freshman. So I want to say I’m returning full time and I promise to make the next coming years worth it.

Hello ladies & gents, it’s been a while and now that I’ve started college it’s been very stressful!!! As a freshmen you definitely have a trial and error concept going. I’m learning to deal with new people, so far it’s going great. A lot of new personalities I’m trying to figure out and cope with. I’ve also decided to keep you guys on track with my daily routine and classes in my next post.

Peace and Love for y’all out yonder!!!

The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward

If you were to walk down the street many new faces would pass on by, the same faces you may never see again, but inside each and every one of them is the ability of choice.

Some people spend their time on earth for good while others use it for evil, but inside everyone is the ability to be a hero.

A hero is usually the person who makes it to the front page of the newspaper and magazine, but many of those mainstream heroes do good deeds just noticed and gain popularity and attention.

Don’t get me wrong, many of them deserve the spotlight for their heroic deeds, but is the spotlight necessary?

I believe that the true heroic deeds are the ones that go unnoticed.

A simple helping hand with a small task or a smile to a stranger can make a world of difference. Just offering to…

Adventures – July 4th

In case you haven’t heard: here in the US of A, we take our independence day quite seriously. Despite the fact that it wasn’t actually when we gained independence from Britain, this is America and thus that minute detail ceases to matter. Being the introverted patriot that I am, I decided to celebrate the 4th in a different way than usual. Typically in years past I’ve attended barbecues or gone to the beach but this year I didn’t have any plans. So I thought, what better to do than go to the craft store? In my last post I talked about getting in touch with my creative side again and I definitely wanted to get back into sketching and working with watercolors. It was something I loved back in middle school and its something I’ve been putting off for a few years now. So there you have it folks. I…

No Pleasure Just Pain

Today has just been the worst I woke up at 2 PM!!! Then my parfait was devoured by some of my friends who couldn’t even wake me up! On my way to the movies to watch my Favorite movie The Great Gatsby and I left my wallet…:(

After a hasty retreat to my house and back to the theater, I get my popcorn and icy-slush drink. I get caught up in the trailers and miss a fleet of steps and of course bust my ass on the floor and drop of my food my friends come to the rescue and I have to pay for more Popcorn (which is very expensive!!!)
Anyways I promise to catch up on my summer blog even if it isn’t the best blog post ever.

Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall”

A Cheeky Day in Park Avenue

I’d have to say I had an amazing day this fine Saturday. Being today is Saturday I’ve was able to bestow myself with someone fun and relaxation! With no Rain in my way I was able to go to Park Ave. in Winter Park, Florida. First lets start with Winter Park, Imagine a place full of arts- and modern, yet still in a culture-filled city. Winter Park also contains the beautiful Rollins College where ambitious students from across the United States come & learn. My trip to Park Ave was very uplifting, the atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. I love seeing different cultures and religions fuse into one brings true happiness to my heart.

Worry is a massive waste of time and energy. It doesn’t change anything. All it does is steal your joy and hinder your ability to make positive changes.

Post Graduation

So, as of May 29, 2013 I Samson Starbucker, has finally graduated high school and is now moving onto to bigger and better things.

Everyday is an opportunity to have a fresh start. It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday all that counts is today. When you wake up in the morning know that today is full of opportunities waiting to be grabbed. It is a new day, a new start, the beginning of a new life awaits you.
